Pathology Results

We received great news over the weekend: The mass that was removed during my recent RPLND surgery was 100% necrosis!  That means it was comprised of dead cells.  They didn’t find any active cancer cells!

What a relief!

I didn’t share this with you prior to surgery, but there was a slight chance that there would be live cancer cells in there.  If they had found live cells, it would have meant two more rounds of chemo.

That is all past us now and these results make everything that we’ve gone through this year worth it.  Now, we focus on recovering from surgery and then, the rest of our lives!

One other quick update - my staples were removed yesterday. Man, it is amazing how much better it feels to move around without those things in there.

Progress!
